INVEST IN OUR FUTURE & CUT WASTEFUL SPENDING
My wife and I both work in the nonprofit sector, so we understand firsthand how important strong social services are to the health of our communities. Investing in affordable housing, mental health care, food security, and support for working families is not simply an expense, it is a smart investment in our future. When people have stability and opportunity, our entire county benefits. I believe Douglas County should take a strategic and progressive approach to public investment by prioritizing programs that create long-term outcomes, strengthen families, and expand opportunity for everyone. We cannot build a stronger future by leaving vulnerable people behind.

OPPOSE DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION
Douglas County’s future should be shaped by the people who live here, not by massive industrial projects that threaten our land, water, and quality of life. I oppose the construction of data centers in Douglas County because the long-term costs outweigh the short-term promises. These facilities consume enormous amounts of energy and water, strain local infrastructure, and risk changing the character of our communities forever. We can pursue economic growth without sacrificing our environment, our neighborhoods, or local control. I will fight for responsible development that protects working families, preserves our natural resources, and keeps Douglas County a place where people, not corporate interests, come first.

PROVIDE EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
I bring a unique combination of local leadership, state government experience, and nonprofit advocacy experience to this race. As a former local elected official, I understand the importance of responsive government and staying connected to the people I serve. My work in state government gave me firsthand experience navigating complex policy issues, building coalitions, and delivering results. Today, working for a Lawrence-based education nonprofit, I continue fighting to expand opportunity and strengthen communities across Kansas. I understand how government decisions impact real people every day. I have the experience, relationships, and practical knowledge needed to step into the County Commission and get to work on day one.
